Strata ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered keyboard application.

Important: While Full Access technically allows keyboard extensions to access what you type, Strata does NOT log, store, or transmit your keystrokes. We only process text when you explicitly tap an AI action button.
When you use Strata's AI features, the text you submit is sent to Google (Google LLC) for processing via their Gemini AI service.
Strata acts as an intermediary: your text is transmitted from your device to Strata's servers, then forwarded to Google's Gemini API for AI processing.
Google processes your text solely to generate a response and, per Google's Generative AI API terms, does not use API data to train their models.
Your text is processed in real-time and is not stored by Strata or retained after the response is returned.
Text You Submit for AI Processing: When you explicitly use Strata's AI features by tapping an action button, your text is sent to our servers and forwarded to Google's Gemini AI for processing. Specifically, the following types of text may be sent:

Voice Input: If you use voice-to-text, audio is processed on-device using Apple's Speech Recognition framework. Audio is not transmitted to Strata servers.
Usage Counts: We track daily usage counts locally on your device to enforce free tier limits. This data never leaves your device.
Subscription Status: Subscription information is managed by Apple through StoreKit. We cache your subscription status locally to enable premium features.
We do not store the text you submit for processing. Text is transmitted securely via HTTPS, processed by Google's Gemini AI, and the response is returned to you immediately. No copies are retained on our servers. Our API is stateless.
Google Gemini AI: Your text is processed using Google's Gemini AI service provided by Google LLC. Per Google's Generative AI API terms, data sent via API is not used to train Google's models. Google provides privacy protections for API data as described in their Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Your text is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. By using Strata's AI features, you consent to your submitted text being processed by Google's Gemini AI service.
Apple StoreKit: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is not accessible to us.
Before using AI features, Strata requires you to review and accept this privacy policy and consent to data processing.
You may revoke consent at any time by discontinuing use of the app.
If you do not consent to data sharing with Google's Gemini AI, you should not use Strata's AI features.
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data in transit. Our API servers are hosted on Vercel with appropriate security measures.
Since we do not store personal data or processed text, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. Usage counts and preferences stored locally on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the app.
Strata is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected. Strata does not sell personal information. Since we do not store personal data, there is no data to disclose or delete.
For users in the European Economic Area: We process data only for the legitimate purpose of providing the AI service you request. Since we do not store personal data, standard GDPR rights to access, rectification, and erasure do not apply to our processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
